House Bill 4511
House Bill 4511 creates a Crypto 'Bill of Rights' that includes broad protections for Bitcoin holders, businesses, innovators and entrepreneurs in the state of Michigan.

The Michigan Bitcoin Trade Council is SUPPORTING House Bill 4511.
Why?
The Michigan Bitcoin Trade Council supports House Bill 4511 because the provisions in the legislation would allow for Michigan to have rules and regulations that would protect Bitcoiners and make the state a great place for holders, investors, innovators and entrepreneurs.
House Bill 4511 does the following:
- Preempts any level of the Michigan government from banning the holding of a digital asset.
- Prevents any level of government in the satte from requiring a permit or license for the holding of digital assets.
- Prevents the imposition of any other impairment toward the holding of digital assets.
- Bans any special tax from being imposed on using digital assets as a method of payment.
- Prohibits any level of Michigan's support or participation in any central bank digital currency.
- Prevents any level of government in the state from prohibiting the use of a node
- Prevents any level of government in the state from prohibiting transfer of assets on a blockchain protocol.
- Prevents any level of government in the state from state prohibiting staking
- Prevents staking services that only validate transactions from civil liability in the state of Michigan.
